It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mattie Ruth (Maryland) Woodson of Lowell, Massachusetts, born in Wilson, North Carolina, who passed away on March 12, 2024, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her husband Charles Woodson; her parents, John R. of Maryland and Mattie J. (Williams) of Maryland; her son Jamison Woodson; her siblings, Dale of Maryland, Bobby Ray of Maryland, Willie James of Maryland, Iris of Maryland and Pamela of Maryland; and her granddaughter Klariese Cadorette.

She is survived by : her children, Angela Jones (Antonio) of Boston, Christopher Woodson of Lowell and Rachel Artis-Woodson of Lowell; her siblings, Joe Williams of Florida, Christine Doby of Lowell and Linda Ford of Boston; and her aunts, Christine Williams of Lowell, Ruby McDougall of Lowell, Frances Simmons of Lowell and Lily Williams of Lowell. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and family friends.
