She was predeceased by: her husband Richard A. Backman, Sr.; her parents, Joan Kendrick (Kelliher) and Arthur Kendrick; her son Richard A. Backman, Jr.; her granddaughters, Michele Venezia and Lauren Powers; and her siblings, Florence Rogan, James and William Kendrick.
She is survived by: her daughters, Joan Powers of Merrimack, NH, Nancy Yeo (John Yeo) of Billerica, Maureen Kelley of Chelmsford and Susan McNeill (Kirk) of Tewksbury; her grandchildren, Sarah Powers, Katie Ann Sinclair, Melissa Yeo, Steven Sinclair, Kelli Yeo, Danielle Hayes, Philip Yeo (Vanessa), Shannon Hayes and Kim Hayes; her great grandchildren, Adriana Venezia, Ava Arpin, John Graceffa, Lucas Graceffa, James Yeo and Alayhah Walker; her nieces, Helen Runyan, Jean Hentz and Julie Kelley; and her nephew Thomas Rogan Jr..
