He was predeceased by: his wife Dorothea Danas (Alexiou); and his parents, James P. Danas and Patricia Danas (Contos). He is survived by: his children, James P. Danas (Elaine) of Dracut, John P. Danas (Joyce) of Lowell, Patricia Danas Vaporis (John Vaporis) of Lowell and Christine Apollos (John) of Concord, MA; his grandchildren, Peter Danas, Constantine Danas, Alexander Danas, Christopher Danas, Dorothea (Emmanuel Lagoudakis), Nominkos Vaporis, Petra Kosmia Vaporis, Roman Vaporis, Kara Danas, Johanna Danas, Dimitrios Apollos and Aristaios Apollos; his great grandchild Leonidas Lagoudakis; and his sisters, Antonia "Toni" Lawrenson of Lowell, Christine Spinelli of Lowell and Georgia Dodge of Lowell.
