He was predeceased by: his parents, James McClay and Alma McClay (Boyd); his former wife Bonnie McClay (Brewer); and his siblings, Jackie Beals, Mary Fields and William H. McClay.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy McClay (Kinney); his sons, James H. McClay (Lisa) of Washburn, Richard K. McClay Jr. (Ashley), Plantation and Gregory V. McClay of Lowell, MA; his grandchildren, Meagan (Tyler), Zackary (Tabitha), Brittany (Ryan), Bryce (KariLynn), Jadasti and Marcial; his great grandchildren, Layla, Lilly-Zoe and Jay; and his brothers, Vail McClay (Anna) of Southington, CT and Sterling McClay of Sutton, MA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
