He was predeceased by: his parents, Constantinos Hantzis and Vasiliki Hantzis (Kalogeropoulos); his wife Catharine Wells; his brother Christos Hantzis; and his nephew Costas Pantazis.
He is survived by: his significant other Carol Cahill; his sister Nina Pantazis (John) of Naples, FL; his sister-in-law Nicoletta Hantzis of Carlisle, MA; his brother Dr. Peter Hantzis (Linda) of Newport, RI.; his nieces and nephews, Thanos Pantazis, Dean Hantzis, Billy Hantzis, Peter Hantzis, Ross Fitzgerald, Alison Andrews and Erica Mitchell; and his uncle Nikita Kalogeropoulos.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Sam's memory to the Lewy Body Dementia Association.
