He was predeceased by: his parents, David Ribas and Maria Ribas; his wife Ana Ribas (Branco); his siblings, Domingos (Albertina) and Delfim (Ida); his sisters-in-law, Arminda Barros (Antonio) and Isabel Pires; his siblings' children, David Ribas and Virginia "Gina" Teixeira; and his brothers-in-law, Jose Branco and Manuel Branco.
He is survived by: his daughters, Grace Genovevo (Carlos) and Anna Maria Ribas-Dias (Joe); his grandchildren, Adriano, Jennifer (Jason Frisk), Samantha, Joseph (Fransesca Dias) and Michaela; his great grandchildren, Emersyn, Scarlett, Joseph Jr. (JJ), Emmitt, Jordan and Catherine; his sister-in-law Ana Branco; his godchildren, Raul Branco, Joe Branco and Liz Goncalves; and his sibling's children, Maria Moreno and Raul Barros. He is also survived by many extended family members and dear friends.
