It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris C. (Deroy) Simard of Ludlow, Massachusetts, born in Holyoke, Massachusetts, who passed away on November 12, 2023, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, O'Neil and Amanda; her husband Roger J. "Jim" Simard; and her son-in-law Roy Kurtz. She is survived by: her children, Diane A. Kurtz of Ludlow, Robert J. Simard (Jeanne) of Ludlow and Donald N. Simard (Janice) of Severn, MD; her grandchildren, Cheryl Schipper (Derek) of Hanover, Shawn Kurtz (Cristina) of Cresco, PA, James Kurtz (Amy) of Ludlow, Timothy Simard (Christine) of Ludlow, Nicole Mendes (Brian) of Chicopee, Jason Simard (Shelly) of Pasadena, MD and Derek Simard of Glen Bernie, MD; and her daughter Hope Church. She is also survived by great grandchildren; her cherished great grandson; and her many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, her family requests that memorial donations be made in her memory to Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 Saint Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
