He was predeceased by: his parents, Manuel Oliveira Cadete and Ana Moreira. He is survived by: his sons, Nuno Cadete (Susana) of Ludlow and Simao Cadete (Ericka) of Ludlow; and his grandchildren, Lara, Santiago, Gabriel and Michael. He is also survived by three brothers and four sisters in Portugal as well as many nieces and nephews.
