He was predeceased by: his parents, John Smolinski Sr. and Carmelina Smolinski (D'Amato); and his wife Sylvia Smolinski (Halgas). He is survived by: his children, Shauna Dion (John Dion) of Chicopee, Derek Smolinski (Melissa) of Ludlow and Megan Rosa (Lucas Rosa Jr) of Ludlow; his brother David F. Smolinski (Colleen) of Ludlow; and his grandchildren, Owen Smolinski, John Dion Jr., Olivia Rosa, Tyler Smolinski and Grayson Rosa. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and many close friends.
