He was predeceased by: his parents, Antonio DeCastro and Francisca; his wife Edite; and his siblings, Rosa Rodrigues, Esperanca Magalhaes, Maria, Castro and Antonio Martinez.
He is survived by: his daughters, Maria Libbey (Brian) of Ludlow and Lisa Salvas (Robert) of Ludlow; his grandchildren, Benjamin Libbey (Sara), Michael Salvas and Elizabeth Salvas; and his great grandchildren, Reed and Eloise.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:15 AM at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home (64 Sewall St, Ludlow, MA 01056). A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church (438 Winsor St, Ludlow, MA 01056). A burial will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Island Pond Cemetery.
