He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugenio Matias and Irene Matias (Soares). He is survived by: his wife Maria Teresa Matias (Rolo); his sons, Jose Matias (Helena) of Ludlow and Joao Matias (Maria) of Ludlow; and his grandchildren, Mika, Daniel, Amanda and Max Matias. He is also survived by many loving extended family members and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:15 AM at the Ludlow Funeral Home (432 East St, Ludlow, MA 01056). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Fatima Parish (438 Winsor St, Ludlow, MA 01056).
