We announce the death of Marguerite Surprenant of Ludlow, Massachusetts, who passed away on July 14, 2026, at the age of 95. Marguerite will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Adrian Cote and Aldea Cote (Desmarais); her former husband Bill McCarthy; her husband George Surprenant; her son Daniel McCarthy; and her brother Adrian Cote.
She is survived by: her children, Priscilla Lampron (Roger) and Patrick McCarthy (Kathleen Harren); her daughter-in-law Dawn McCarthy; and her sister Barbara White. She is also survived by her 9 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews.
