It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Maria Helena Fernandes of Ludlow, Massachusetts, who passed away on July 9, 2022, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joaquim Augusto and Casmira Cabral; and her husband Adelino Fernandes. She is survived by: her children, Armand (Arminda), Elisio (Charlene), John (Dores), Joaquim (Helena), Maria (Mahlon), Carlos (Rhonda) and Lee (Claudete). She is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, several brothers and sisters in Portugal as well as many nieces and nephews.
