He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Hamel and Annette Hamel (Champagne); and his brother Philip Hamel. He is survived by: his wife Kathryn Hamel (Haller); his children, Michael Hamel (Brenda), Beth Lapointe (Edward), Matthew Hamel and Gregory Hamel (Michelle); his grandchildren, Delaney Hamel, Kaitlyn Daysch, Sarah Daysch, Marissa Donato, Brooke Lembert, Edward Lapointe, Nicholas, Ian Hamel, Ella and Madeleine Hamel; his great grandchildren, Briella and Nico Donato; his granddaughter Amy Lempert; his sister Madeleine Partyka (Joseph); and his sister-in-law Barbara Hamel. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
