It is with sadness that the passing of Robert G. Smith of Ludlow, Massachusetts is shared. Robert, born on July 8, 1963 in Holyoke, Massachusetts, passed away on October 13, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents-in-law, Joseph M. Pirog, Jr. and Aline M. Pirog (Beaulieu); and his uncle William Smith. He is survived by: his parents, Robert M. Smith of Ludlow and Agnes M. Smith (Bresette) of Ludlow; his wife Lisa M. Smith (Pirog); his children, Allyson M. Smith (James E. Knight) of Ludlow, Robert W. Smith (Michaela) of Ludlow and Randy J. Smith (Rebecca) of Wilbraham; his grandchildren, Jacob Socha, Brayden Nogueira-Smith, Declan Smith, Charleigh Smith and Jordyn Smith; his sister Katherine M. Smith (James Brennan) of Southampton; and his siblings-in-law, Susan LaPlante (Alan) of Chicopee and James Pirog (Donna) of Chicopee. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Funeral Home Parking Lot and Main Entrance Are (20 Lafayette St, Chicopee, MA 01020). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 8:30 AM at the St. Pierre-Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels (13 Dale St, Chicopee, MA 01020). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Sainte Rose de Lima Church (594 Grattan St, Chicopee, MA 01020).
