Maureen Camire wrote a sympathy message

“Claire was a wonderful, kind and compassionate nurse and person. Many years ago I was a freshman student nurse @ Salem Hospital. "Miss Ring" was a supervisor at the time and then an instructor at the Nursing school. She was also my patient. I was so very nervous having a supervisor at the hospital for a patient as a young student! She was so very kind and helpful to me, telling me that I was such a wonderful nurse! Honestly, I was a "Nervous Nellie" just hoping my patient would get better as I tried my best to care for her. Many years later Claire was the Director of Nurses at Abbott House where I worked part-time 3-11 as a nurse. I had been at a family outing at Walden Pond. I had to work that afternoon and arrived a few minutes late. After apologizing to Mrs. Donahue for being late she said to me, " Why didn't you call me? I would have stayed here this eve so you could stay longer at the outing!" That was not something you would usually hear from your Boss! Claire always put her patients and employees first.
