He was predeceased by: his parents, George Edward Grafton and Olive Ann Grafton (Hill); his siblings, Cecelia M. (Jan van Loon), Leo John Grafton and Joseph P. Grafton; and his siblings-in-law, Cathy Ray Grafton, John C. Holdsworth and Kenneth Miller.

He is survived by: his spouse Claire Grafton (Scully); his siblings, George Jr. Grafton (Tim) of Stoneham, Mary Ann Grafton of Stoneham, Justine G. Holdsworth of Belchertown, Louisa M. French (Donald) of Whitinsville, Ellen M. Wright and Frances M. Miller of Wakefield; and his siblings-in-law, Michael Scully and Cathy Scully. He is also survived by 20 nieces and nephews, and 41 great nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to his beloved niece, M. Maria Mater Consecrata Holdsworth, SSVM religious community.
