Though Doris Virginia may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Doris Virginia touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Enos R. Crowell and Carrie Crowell (Smith); her son Gary D. O'Brien; her husband William O'Brien; and her great grandchild Calin Lee Harris.

She is survived by: her children, Ronald W. O'Brien of Lynn, Diane M. Fanning of Lynn, Karen L. Emmett of Swampscott and Kathleen A. Spinney (Donald) of Berwick, Maine.. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cuffe McGinn Funeral Home (157 Maple St, Lynn, MA 01904). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Pine Grove Cemetery (145 Boston St, Lynn, MA 01904).
