She was predeceased by: her husband Edward Sharkey; her parents, Edward Fitzgerald and Emily Fitzgerald (Popple); her daughter Susan Sharkey; and her sister Helen Morris.

She is survived by: her grandchildren, Jennifer C. Sharkey of Wildomar, CA and Michael J. Sharkey (Mildred) of Laporte; her great grandchildren, Zachary Sharkey of Utah, Caitlin Sharkey, Matthew Sharkey and Mikayla Sharkey of LaPorte, TX; her daughter-in-law Patricia Sharkey; her godchild Robin Painchaud of Lynn; her son Michael E. Sharkey; and her brothers, George Fitzgerald and Edward Fitzgerald.
