We bid farewell to John David Allen of Lynn, Massachusetts, born in Whitman, Massachusetts, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 1, 2025 at the age of 90. John David touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint John David leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Sylvia Allen (Peckham); and his children, Julie (Alan Spreadbury), Andrew (Ellen Allen) and Cynthia Essler (Marc Alloway). He was also cherished by his seven grandchildren, their spouses and partners and his three great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home (157 Maple St, Lynn, MA 01904). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
