We announce the death of John A. Fraughton Sr. of Lynn, Massachusetts, who passed away on July 24, 2026, at the age of 79. John will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. John will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew John will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture his life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. John’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett P. Fraughton and Evelyn S. Fraughton (Fitzgerald); and his stepson Andy. He is survived by: his wife Carlene; his children, John Jr., Christine and Tammy; and his stepdaughter Deirdre. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
