He was predeceased by: his parents, William DiVenuti and Emanuella DiVenuti (Fidone); his wife Phyllis DiVenuti (Alwell); his sons, Mark DiVenuti and Gerard DiVenuti; his grandson Michael DiVenuti; and his siblings, Bill DiVenuti, Frank DiVenuti, George DiVenuti, Patricia Sheppard and Rose Babcock.

He is survived by: his daughter Joan DiVenuti; his grandsons, John F. DiVenuti and Gerard DiVenuti, Jr.; and his great grandchildren, Aubree DiVenuti, Jaylani DiVenuti and John DiVenuti, III. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
