It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joyce A. (Murphy) Bassett of Lynn, Massachusetts, born in Somerville, Massachusetts, who passed away on February 9, 2024, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, James Murphy and Rose Murphy (Kelly); her brother Jan Murphy; her brothers-in-law, Paul Bassett and Albert Del Dotto; and her daughter-in-law Ellen Bassett.

She is survived by : her husband Charles J. Bassett; her sons, C. J. Bassett (April Manning) and Craig Bassett; her grandchildren, Ryan Bassett, Olivia and Kyle Steinman; her siblings, James Murphy, Joe Murphy (Donna), Judy Murphy (Dennis Reilly) and Jerome Murphy (Kathy); and her sisters-in-law, Lauren Murphy, Rita Del Dotto and Roberta Bassett. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
