Katie Briggs Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Katie Briggs of Lynn, Massachusetts, who passed away on January 7, 2026 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, John Hanly and Margaret Hanly (Horgan); her husband John Briggs; her brother Tim Hanly; and her siblings-in-law, Mary Lou Everson (Briggs), Don Ball and Tom Everson.

She is survived by: her brother Peter Hanly; her sister-in-law Kathy Hanly (Aloia); her children, Megan Gibeau (Briggs) and Andrew; her daughter-in-law Kristen Briggs (Noren); her grandchildren, Caitryn Gibeau, John Briggs and Zoey Briggs; and her sisters-in-law, Margaret Ball (Briggs) and Virginia Zillioux (Don). She is also survived by Aunt Katie was loved by 24 nieces and nephews, their spouses, and over 58 great-nieces and great-nephews.
