With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Patricia Anne (McCarthy) Shearer of Lynn, Massachusetts, who passed away on December 9, 2025 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her son Matthew Shearer; and her parents, John G. McCarthy and Ellen B. McCarthy (McKernan). She is survived by: her son Eric; her husband Gerald Hartling; her stepson Gerald Hartling, Jr. (April); her daughter Amalia of Florida; and her siblings, Kathleen McSweeney (Robert) of Arlington, Margaret McCarthy of Tewksbury and John McCarthy, Jr. (Phyllis) of Townsend. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Solimine Funeral Home - Broadway (426 Broadway, Lynn, MA 01904). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Church (571 Boston St, Lynn, MA 01905).
