It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Simone M. (Belliveau) Martel of Lynn, Massachusetts, born in Church Point, Nova Scotia, who passed away on September 9, 2020, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Raymond D. Martel; her parents, Willie Belliveau and Zoé Belliveau (Theriault); her stepparent Alphonsine Belliveau (Trudel); and her sister Josephine Doucet.

She is survived by: her children, David Martel (Heather) of Lynn, Michelle Francis (Wallace) of Revere, Paul Martel (Deborah) of Newburyport, Annette Hunter (Thomas) of Largo, FL and Louise Kozak (Michael) of Midlothian, VA; her grandchildren, Lisa Smith (Jeff), Philippe Martel (Sherri), Michael Martel, James Martel, Lauren Kozak and Matthew Kozak; her great grandchildren, Julia and Katelyn Smith; her daughter-in-law Mary Martel; and her siblings, Anne-Marie Belliveau, Germaine Guenette, Maurice Belliveau and Edouard Belliveau. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
