With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Coakley (Malden, Massachusetts), born in Stoneham, Massachusetts, who passed away on April 12, 2020 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John T. Coakley and Ellen T.; and his siblings, Julia White (Dillingham) and Walter Dillingham. He is survived by: his wife Joanne Coakley; his children, Shawn Coakley (Lori) of Stafford, VA, Michelle Freni (Nicholas) of Lynnfield, MA and Scott Coakley (Michele) of Danvers, MA; his grandchildren, Kerry Coakley, Mackenzie Coakley, Jenna Freni, Ava Freni, Skylar Coakley and Addison Coakley; and his brother Raymond. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
