He was predeceased by: his wife Susan E. Butler (Darrah); his parents, Charles Butler and Margaret Malone (Follansbee); and his siblings, Charles Butler and Janet Butler.
He is survived by: his children, David R. Butler (Tabatha Barrett) of Mansfield, Michael J. Butler (Carrie) of Fairhaven, Lisa S. Butler (Mark Pelletier) of Mansfield, Charlie D. Butler (Liz) of Norton and Stephen J. Butler of New York; and his grandchildren, Michael, Ava, Alexa, Evelyn, Jordyn, Knight and Aziza.
