He was predeceased by: his wife Catherine I. Candela (Cipriani); his parents, Rotilio Candela and Orsola Candela (Rainone); and his siblings, Pauline Valente, Grace Jones, Julius Candela and Ralph Candela.
He is survived by: his children, Diane E. Martin (Robert) of Mansfield and Steven L. Candela (Nancy) of Pocasset; his grandchildren, Cara, Gina, Gregory, Chelsea, Patricia and Nicholas; and his siblings, Rose White of Norfolk, Anne Colello of Millis, Josephine Cisternelli of Wrentham and Louis Candela of Norfolk. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
