He was predeceased by : his parents, John H., Sr. and Eleanor M. Murray (Cody). He is survived by : his wife Diana V. Murray (Cane); his children, Carol A. Abate of Mansfield, Linda A. Rego-Colantuno of Mansfield and Robert J. Murray (Christine) of Mansfield; his grandchildren, Kyle Rego (Catherine) of Mansfield and Justin Abate of Putnam, CT; his great grandchild Alexandra Rego; and his sister Eleanor Nicklas (Richard) of Pembroke.
