In the sacred silence of farewell, Karen is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Karen's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Francis McLaughlin and Anna McLaughlin; and her sister Donna Marie Crockett. She is survived by: her husband C. Melvern Fillmore (Mel); her daughters, Catherine Douglas (Michael) and Christine Brainson (Jeff); and her grandsons, Ryan and Luke Douglas.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home (455 Washington St, Canton, MA 02021). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Oscar Romero Church (700 Washington St, Canton, MA 02021).
