He is survived by: his children, Karen Stepka (Ken) of Annandale, VA, David Hallgren (Donna) of Mansfield, Wayne Hallgren (Cathy) of Norton and John Hallgren (Patricia) of Mansfield; his grandchildren, Rachel, Sarah, Andrew Stepka, Brett Hallgren (Disha), Jill Hallgren (Katie), Sheila Smith (Cole), Joseph, Anthony, Jake Hallgren, Brittany (Brian) and Macy Hallgren; and his siblings-in-law, Joan Rickard of Gill, MA, Margaret Lilly of Ashfield, MA and David Nims of Colrain, MA.. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and dear friends.
