He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Edgar and Wilma Grace Balser (Wentworth); his brothers, Arthur Edgar Balser, Jr., Bernard Wentworth Balser, David Kimball Balser and Dana Balser; and his grandparents, Josiah Bishop, Grace Edna Wentworth (Kimball), Perley Arthur and Florence Isabel Balser (Shea).

He is survived by: his wife Linda Balser (Goodwin) of Marblehead; his son Andrew Wentworth Balser; his granddaughter Madeleine Isabel Balser of Terry's Ice Cream; and his sibling's children, Arthur Edgar Balser, III of Danvers and Dr. Dana Balser of Palmyra, Virginia..
