It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joan Sandra Rich of Marblehead, Massachusetts, who passed away on May 26, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her spouse Dr. Murry Rich; her parents, Ida Pekin (Leamon) and Jacob Pekin; her children, Laura, Leon Pflaster, Joel and Elana Rich; her grandchildren, Marielle, Alec, Madison Pflaster, David Rich, Emily and Jacob Levin-Rich; and her siblings, Bobby, Zvi Galani, Ellen and Robert Gordon. She was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Congregation Shirat Hayam (55 Atlantic Ave, Swampscott, MA 01907). A burial was held on Friday, May 30th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Shirat Hayam Cemetery (506 Lowell St, Peabody, MA 01960).
