He was predeceased by: his parents, Evelyn McHugh and Edward Dewey McHugh; his brothers, Tony, Tom and Arthur McHugh; and his granddaughter Ella Sue.
He is survived by: his wife Susan L. McHugh; his children, Jon McHugh (Courtney), Melissa McHugh-Modany (Mark) and Amy Whipple (John); his grandchildren, Tyler and Tess McHugh; his children, Milo, Oliver, Josie, Linus Modany, Jack, Teddy and Luke Whipple; and his sister Mary Stewart.
