It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Peter Maher of Marlborough, Massachusetts, who passed away on September 30, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Peter Maher to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexander Maher and Irene Maher (Place); his siblings, Richard Maher (Gerry), Marylou McCarthy (Jack) and Janice Jenkins (Bill); and his son-in-law Pete Lyford.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Maher (Zacharias) of Marlborough; his children, Gary Maher (Christina), Melissa Maher (David Walper), Amy Maher (Kevin Jones), Michael Bilinsky (Kelly) of Westborough, Elizabeth Lins of Douglas, Cathy Sargent (Matt) of Douglas and Jennifer Lyford of Auburn; and his grandchildren, Carleigh, Harrison, Jacob, Gunnar, Zachary, Annie-Elizabeth, Charlotte and Dana. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Short & Rowe Funeral Home (95 W Main St, Marlborough, MA 01752). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St Matthias Catholic Church (409 Hemenway St, Marlborough, MA 01752).
