She was predeceased by: her parents, Florence H. Gifford (Buck) and Vernon W. Gifford; her husband F. Ward Murphy; her brother Myron Gifford; and her stepfather Thomas McDonough.
She is survived by: her daughters, Janice Murphy-Shaw (Douglas) of Westborough and Linda Bacon (Richard) of Marlborough; her grandchildren, Brian (Renata), Jessica and Lindsay (William); her great grandchildren, Jaymie, Wyatt and Quinn; and her close friend Shirley Ney. She is also survived by three nieces and many extended family members including dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Short & Rowe Funeral Home (95 W Main St, Marlborough, MA 01752). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
