It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edward Arthur Straughn of Marshfield, Massachusetts, born in Boston, Massachusetts, who passed away on May 23, 2026, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his brother Frank Straughn; and his brother-in-law James Power. He is survived by: his wife Christine Straughn; his children, Kellie (Carlos Gomez), Timmy (Meg Straughn), Teddie (Olivia Straughn) and Brian (Mary Straughn); his grandchildren, Isabella, Evan, Lili, Nora, Sky, Connor, Summer, Emma and Sloane; and his siblings, Roberta Forte, Patricia, Neil Donovan, John, Mary Power, Michael, Colleen Power, Suzanne Power, Brian and Joan Power. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and grand- nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 27th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home - Cohasset (160 S Main St, Cohasset, MA 02025). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 28th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the St. Anthony's of Padua Catholic Church (10 Summer St, Cohasset, MA 02025).
