He was predeceased by: his parents, Veronica McGonagle (Connolly) and Michael J. McGonagle; his wife Elizabeth White McGonagle; and his brother James M. McGonagle. He is survived by: his children, Stephen F. McGonagle (Lisa) of Virginia, Jane E. McGonagle of New Mexico, Amy Cincotta (John) of Marshfield, Sara M. Kirkpatrick (Benjamin) of New Mexico and Kenneth M. McGonagle (Beth) of Southborough.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Sweeney Brothers Home For Funerals (1 Independence Ave, Quincy, MA 02169). A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Our Lady of the Assumption Church (40 Canal St, Marshfield, MA 02050). The military honors will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 at the Massachusetts National Cemetery.
