He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph A. Memmo and Rita L. Memmo (Baga); his son Joseph A. Memmo; his grandson Matthew Jackson; and his brother Henry Memmo.
He is survived by: his daughter Kara M. Jackson (Gary) of Norton; his grandchildren, Emma Schiffer (Rob) of Middleboro, Anthony Jackson of Norton, Jake Jackson of Norton and Bodhi Jackson of Norton; his great grandchildren, Iva and Tate Schiffer; his sisters, Lorraine McPhillips (late James McPhillips) of Hyde Park and Colette Sherman (Paul) of Readville; and also Marji Memmo.
Visiting hours are omitted and due to limitation of three floral tributes allowed at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Joseph's family has requested that donations in his memory be made to the New England Center and Home for Veterans, 17 Court Street, Boston, MA 02108 or the Home for Little Wanderers, 780 American Legion Highway, Boston, MA 02131.
