He was predeceased by: his parents, Patricia Nichols (Donnelly) and Robert Nichols. He is survived by: his wife Karen Nichols; his children, Alicia Mosher (Craig), Christina DeKarski (Vinnie) and Robert Nichols; his stepchildren, Scott Lambert (Amy), Kalyn Turner (Jeffrey) and Heather Ford (Tyler); his grandchildren, Olvia, Wyatt, Benjamin, Harrison, Nathaniel, Robert, Rowan, Evelyn, Ruby and Zion; his siblings, William Nichols (Kim), Kristen Keeney (William), Kelly Nichols (late Tom) and Fran Scozzafava; his nephews, Brad, Logan Keeney and Sean Nichols; and his niece Briana Nichols.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to any charity of your choosing.
