Robert F. Shine Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Robert F. Shine (Marshfield, Massachusetts), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 8, 2025 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Robert is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Robert's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Robert Shine and Margaret "Peggy" Shine; his wife Elaine Shine; and his children, Brendan Shine (Jazmin) of Alpharetta, GA, Chris Shine (Jenn) of Sanford, ME and Justin Fleming (Megan) of Omaha, NE.. He was also cherished by his sons grow and become fathers.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Richardson-Gaffey Funeral Home (382 First Parish Rd, Scituate, MA 02066). A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Christine's Parish (1295 Main St, Marshfield, MA 02050).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Bob's memory to NVNA and Hospice, 120 Longwater Drive, Norwell, MA 02061 and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, 10 Brookline Place, Boston, MA 02445.
