She was loved and cherished by many people including: her pet Ruth; her sister Gail Hunter (Ruth) of Marshfield; her parents, Eugene Mead and Miriam Mead of Dallas; her siblings, Mike Mead of Thailand and Mimi Merrell; her children, Bayne and Shane of Texas; her brother-in-law Jeremy Hunter of Marshfield; her nieces and nephews, Anjuli and Drew; and her great-nieces, Vayda and Sienna Seoane. She was also cherished by her father in 1964 and her mother in 1969, she and her sisters.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made or volunteer service given to a local charity in Ruth's memory.
