Doris M. Wells Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Doris M. Wells of Marstons Mills, Massachusetts, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 5, 2026 at the age of 94. She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Smolen and Sophie Smolen of Cohoes, NY.; and her husband Sidney J. Wells. She is survived by: her children, Daniel (Lori), Mary (Edward), Patrick (Rose), Edward (Laura) and James; and her brother John Smolen (Carol). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Viewing was held on Tuesday, January 13th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Frank P. McDonald & Son Funeral Home (870 2nd Ave, Troy, NY 12180). A burial was held on Tuesday, January 13th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Gerald B. H. Solomon National Cemetery (200 Duell Rd, Schuylerville, NY 12871).
