It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Catherine Teresa Gildea of Mashpee, Massachusetts, who passed away on June 14, 2025, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Gildea and Catherine Gildea (Nickerson); her daughter Tara Wadsworth; and her siblings-in-law, Roland Butler and Melinda Gildea.
She is survived by: her husband Michael Stacy of Mashpee, MA; her children, John Wadsworth of Lewisburg, WV and Mary Wadsworth (Jeff Ward) of Magalia, CA; her grandchildren, Meryl Hue, Olive Mae, Mackenzie Rose and John Michael; and her siblings, Mary Butler of Mashpee, Edward Gildea (Martha Bayliss) of Mashpee, Peggy Bone (Thomas) of Mashpee, William Gildea of Mashpee, Sean Gildea (Philomena) of Manchester, Fain Gildea of Dartmouth, MA, Timothy Gildea (Anne Marie) of Norwell, MA, Tara Gildea (Peter Frick) of Mashpee and Mark Gildea (Charlotte) of Mashpee. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 2nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Chapman Funerals & Cremations - Mashpee (74 Algonquin Ave, Mashpee, MA 02649).
