He was predeceased by: his parents, Dora Phyllis (Roberts) and Arnold Briggs; and his brother Roger Briggs. He is survived by: his child J. Carter Briggs (Kate); his grandchildren, Colin, Laila of Wakefield, MA and Courtney Desy (Keith); his great grandchild Norah of Maynard, MA.; and his siblings, Sharon Briggs of Harvard, MA, Carolyn Briggs of Summerfield, FL and Bart Briggs of Duxbury, MA.

“Paula:Kathy and I are so sorry to hear that Bob is no longer with you,and all of us.As you know, he was a great friend to me but at times a fierce competitor on the tennis and pickle courts in Colonial Country Club, He never backed down: using his blower and brooms to clean off the PB courts after a rain, playing PB left handed after hurting his right shoulder, showing up ( with me as in the photo below) to play tennis in 34 degree weather.So glad I knew hIm,will always remember his huge smiles.”
