It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Samuel D. Walter (Mashpee, Massachusetts), born in Baltimore, Maryland, who passed away on March 1, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Audrey Walter (White) and Samuel Drury Walter Jr.; his brothers, Edward, Donald and Kenneth Walter; and his siblings-in-law, Mary Sullivan (Dolan) and Terence A. Sullivan.

He is survived by : his wife Katherine; his brother Joseph W. Smith; his siblings-in-law, Edward J. Dolan and Rosemary Walter; his nephews, Michael L. Sullivan, John E. Sullivan, Michael J. Dolan and Matthew F. Dolan; and his niece Maureen Dolan Sullivan. He is also survived by 8 grand nieces and nephews.
