He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Boothroyd and Margaret Boothroyd (Sullivan); and his siblings, Joseph, James, Marion, Patrick, Dorothy, Naomi, William, Joan and Donald.
He is survived by: his wife Kathy; his children, Paul Jr. (Yuhsia) of Maynard, Naomi of Three Rivers, Todd (Vlado) of Boxborough and Malacky; his grandchildren, Patrick, Erin, Ricky, Sarah, Sean, Aihua and Vincent; and his great grandchildren, Bobby, Billy, Graham and Avery.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 8th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Acton Funeral Home (470 Massachusetts Ave, Acton, MA 01720). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, November 9th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Bridget's Church (1 Percival St, Maynard, MA 01754).
In lieu of flowers, Paul wished for memorial donations to Friends of Maynard Public Library, 77 Nason Street, Maynard, MA 01754; or Maynard Historical Commission, c/o Maynard Town Hall, 195 Main Street, Maynard, MA 01754.
