We announce the death of Peter William Stades of Maynard, Massachusetts, born in Concord, Massachusetts, who passed away on September 28, 2026, at the age of 67. Peter will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, William John and Mary Rose Stades (Polack); and his goddaughter Elspeth. He is survived by: his son MJ Stades of Berlin; his siblings, Michele (Jeff Maclaren) of Somerville, Patti Ann (William McLaughlin) and John Stades; his nephew Matthew McLaughlin (Anna-Lisa); his niece Marya McLaughlin; his great-niece Inga-Lisa McLaughlin of Maynard; and his friend Pete.

For many years he served on the board of Remembering Maynard's Own, a charity which raised money to support student athletes in town.
