With sadness, we share the passing of Bernadette M. Coakley of Medford, Massachusetts. Bernadette, born on July 15, 1941, passed away on October 20, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Mayo of Medford, MA and Mary Agnes Mayo (McNamara) of Manchester England; her siblings, Ilene Runser, Fran LeBlanc, Thomas Mayo, Mary LeBlanc, Brendan Mayo and Catherine Fancy; Bill. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Breslin Funeral Home (610 Pleasant St, Malden, MA 02148). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 9:00 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Immaculate Conception Church (600 Pleasant St, Malden, MA 02148).
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St., Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
